Foodies On the TeeVee

FYI, two great clips of two great chefs:

I don’t have the biggest sweet tooth [although lately it feels like it], but there are two desserts I could always go for. One: Arch’s Wow Cow. Can’t go wrong at 12 calories per ounce. Two: Birthday Cake Truffles from Momofuku Milk Bar. IF YOU HAVE NEVER TRIED THESE STOP WHATEVER YOU’RE DOING [IT’S NO LONGER IMPORTANT] AND DRIVE TO NEW YORK AND EAT ONE RIGHT NOW.* Your life will never be the same. Thankfully, they only come in tiny truffle form.

Actually, that’s a lie, they also come in cake form, as Shaun and I discovered on the hunt for our wedding cake [which I am now realizing I never wrote about…coming soon!]. Yes, Momofuku Milk Bar does wedding cake. And but-for delivery, they’re actually competitive [even lower in price] with most Charlottesville bakeries.

They also do cereal milk. It’s exactly what it sounds like.

Take a look at Christina Tosi, pastry chef at Momofuku, explaining her brilliant creation on Conan here.

And, who could forget Anthony Bourdain? Not you guys because I keep writing about him. But since leaving Charlottesville, he’s moved on to bigger and better things, like Letterman.

Since it’s difficult to put his personality into words, watch his Letterman his appearance here.

* The more I think about it, what you’re doing right now is being a lovely reader, which is very important and I love you for it, so finish that first. THEN GO.
