Taste the HAPPY, Michael!

Can this be?

posted earlier about an Arrested Development event that occurred in NYC this weekend. It turns out that the celebration was more productive than even the most die-hard A.D. fan could have imagined. According to the Associated Press, the New Yorker Twitter feed, TMZ.com, etc. etc:

“The creators and cast of ‘Arrested Development’ at the New Yorker Festival on Sunday announced plans for another season of the short-lived but critically acclaimed TV show, which went off the air in 2006 after just three seasons.”

The 10-episode season will chronicle where the characters have been for the Last Five Years, hopefully with more humor than Jason Robert Brown’s conception of the same time period. From what little I’ve learned, it’s in preparation for the movie, and filming for both will begin this summer.

Half of me says OH MY GOSH YES AHHH @(#*@($*&%(*#Y%(*^H^(* and the other half, “Yeah, yeah, I’ll believe it when I see it.” I was able to uncover articles from as early as before the show was even canceled talking about an A.D. movie. Given the public nature of the weekend-long event, though, this announcement seems much more legitimate.

A girl can dream, huh?

At first when I saw the TMZ article about this series/movie announcement, I was dubious because, yea, right, nothing I haven’t been hearing forever. However, then the New York Times reported on it, so I know it’s real. And it is the best. news. ever. Never Nude watch party?
