Thursday Top Fives

Good [not rainy] morning:

This “Top Fives” quiz is circulating around the blogosphere – I caught it on Clean Eating Chelsey. It will probably further confirm how boring my life is, but I’m happy to participate and encourage you to do the same… link me your answers!

1. Last Five People Talked to on the Phone:

  • Arch‘s Flavor Hotline [listen, this is an important number to have. you’ve got to strategize about your Wow Cow decisions… especially since it’s fat-free, vegan, and 12-15 calories per ounce and delicious]
  • Home [Parents]
  • Aunt Bev
  • Shaun
  • Mom’s Cell Phone

2. Last Five Meals I Ate:

  • Masala Burgers & Salad
  • Veggie Wrap
  • Overnight Muesli [this was a huge winner]
  • Veggie Wrap & Corn on the Cob
  • Open-Faced Tempeh “Reuben” on Great Harvest Bread

3. Last Five Places I’ve Traveled:

  • Philadelphia, PA
  • New York, NY
  • Reading, PA

4. Next Five Places I will Go:

  • Virginia Beach, VA [to celebrate an engagement!]
  • Richmond, VA [Also known as, “The place you go when you’ve blown through your TJ’s supply from 2 weeks ago]
  • TBD for our Anniversary! [Although this unfortunately falls on the day of the MPRE (legal ethics exam), we’re going to hit up some fun places IMMEDIATELY after that test to celebrate]
  • Reading, PA [Grady’s first thanksgiving experience… oh dear]
  • TBD for New Year’s! [Charleston plans fell through – other options include Athens GA, New Orleans, LA… any suggestions?]

5. Last Five Workouts:

  • 40-minute swim [laps]
  • 5.5 mile run + core work
  • 40-minute swim
  • 50-minute cardio + weights
  • 5.5 mile run

6. Five Things Making Me Happy Right Now:

  • It hasn’t rained in a few hours [FINALLY]
  • My new workout regime
  • The recipe I have in mind for Friday morning.
  • Grady’s final training exam is today…
  • The Phillies gear I just ordered for OWN OCTOBER – one shirt just shipped! Playoffs start 10/1… woo.

What a dull, dull, travel life I lead.

Always love NYC. We were thinking of traveling somewhere a bit further away this time though, since it’s the last time we’ll have more than a few days off for the holiday! Next year, we’ll be just an our outside NYC so new year’s there is probably a given 🙂

I hear First Night Midnight Fireworks over Boston Harbor is fun and fabulous fireworks. Fireworks over Niagra Falls is spectacular to see.
